Steven Marsden Obituary

SAN ANGELO Steven Charles Marsden, son of Dr. Thomas and Christine Marsden, husband of Kimberly Sue, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at his home in Austin. Steve was born Nov. 1972, in Midland, Texas. He attended San Angelo's Central High School and graduated in 1991, and also attended Angelo State University. Steve was in the U.S. Army and worked primarily in the security field. He enjoyed watching Star Trek and Jeopardy with his cats, Dante, Calliope and Sasha. Steve loved spending time with his family at their lake house in Sunrise Beach Village. He enjoyed playing dominos, trivia, and card games with his friends and family, and will always be remembered as someone that was hard to beat. A great lover of music, some of his favorite singers were Harry Connick Jr, Nat King Cole, Sade and The Statler Brothers, to name a few. Steve will always be remembered as a wonderful son, brother, husband and uncle. He is survived by his parents, Dr. Thomas and Christine Marsden; his wife, Kimberly; brother Thomas; his sister, Marla; along with numerous family and friends. Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at West Angelo Church of Christ. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
