My memories are as a Ram teammate in Del Rio. I recall fondly Steve's true grit and ferocious play on the football field. Steve was determined to be on the field on every play regardless of physical pain exemplified in games in which he played with a cast on his right wrist. I do not recall if it was his ulna or radius that was broken but Steve displayed sheer courage and unwavering determination to do his part in securing a victory for the Rams. This type of character never wavers as we mature in life. The sport did not build his character but just revealed it to the rest of us. My deepest condolences to the Mida family! May Steve's memory become a treasure to always hold in your heartGod bless the Mida family!

Rhonda and family,
There are no words to fill the emptiness I know you feel.
Steve was such a special person. I worked with him briefly on the S.A.P.D. When I got injured Steve was one of just a handful of people that would still talk to me or just drop by our house to chew the fat.
He will be missed by many.
Prayers for God to shower you all with His love and peace.

Mida Family,

The Marvin Graham's moved in across the street from your house on Beard Street in 1962 and lived there for several years. Your family was so kind to us and let my brothers and I swim with Steve and Shelly day after day in that little swimming pool. I remember vividly because of the sunburns I got (long before we learned about sunscreen)! I have such great memories all of us playing together in the neighborhood. Steve and I also went to school together for many years and he was always a gentleman and the kindest person. You are in our prayers.

I was fortunate and blessed to work with Steve in law enforcement and also building some livestock pens many years ago. He was always a strong guy to have around. I'll always remember that Steve Mida was solid as a rock and always willing to help out. It didn't matter if it involved fighting bad guys; wrestling steers; digging post holes in rock; or "baling hay"! Steve was there if you needed him to lend a hand or a strong arm. He almost always had a smile on his face and he loved to kid around. That's a little of what I will remember about Steve. He's a friend that I could count on when it mattered. Condolences and prayers to Steve Mida's family and many friends.
