William Truman Willams

San Angelo

William Truman Williams went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016. William Truman was born May 2, 1919, in Stephens County, Texas, the youngest child of William Frederick Williams and Mary Fletcher Jackson Williams.

William Truman joined the Army Air Corp Feb. 7, 1941 and served his country until his Honorable Discharge Oct. 23, 1945. On Dec. 8, 1945 he married Virginia Jane Lay in San Angelo, Texas. They were married 53 years before her death in 1998. William Truman was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters and his beloved wife, Jennie Williams. He is survived by nephews Darrell T. Gray, Buddy Stevens, Mark Stevens and Scot Stevens.

A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5 at Johnson's Funeral Home. Service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6 in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may sign an online guest book at johnsons-funeralhome.com.
