Clarice Wahnelle Hollander December 15, 1935 - October 22, 2022 Clarice Wahnelle Smith Hollander, 86, was born in Mullin, Texas, on December 15, 1935, to James and Clara Smith and grew up in a large family with many brothers and sisters. Clarice received her B.A. from Sul Ross State University in December 1972 and went on to become a schoolteacher with her love of grammar and writing. She was also a loving and devoted wife to Bobby Ray Hollander, and they shared 56 years of marriage together. Clarice and Bobby were blessed to raise three children together, Dr. Bobby Mal Hollander, Kimberly Jane Hollander Huet, and Bruce Alan Hollander. Together they blessed 6 grandchildren with love and care, Marisa Baker, Krystel Fleming, Jessica Stubblefield, Allyson Huet, Landon Hollander, and Blythe Engel. Clarice is survived by 10 great grandchildren, Corban Baker, Gentry Baker, Crew Baker, Levi Fleming, Ethan Stubblefield, Avia Stubblefield, Avery Collins, Ayden Collins, Lyla Engel, and David Engel. Visitation will be Friday, November 4, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, Texas. Kristofer Gardana will be officiating. The family recommends memorial gifts can be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
