Elgin Long Obituary
was loved by many friends and family. He lived a full life as a rodeo man, poet, father, friend and jack-of-
all-trades. He is preceded in death by his wife Katherine Pearl Beard, two sisters Ann Bunch and Beth
Lipsey. He is survived by two daughters, Shirley Jo Long of Graham, and Theresa Mae Lawson of
Michigan, four grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, six nieces and two nephews. He requested his
body to be donated to science but a memorial service will be held to celebrate his life on Friday at 1 PM
at the pavilion in Fireman's park. All are welcome to attend and share. In lieu of flowers, send a donation
to Beyond Faith Hospice. And a special thank you to Beyond Faith Hospice for their care during this time.
