In 1959 they moved to Graham. He worked in construction for the next 27 years building Churches, Funeral Homes, Banks, Post Offices, Clinics and general commercial buildings as well as a few houses. He loved the unusual and unique projects. Special projects included restoring to original the Officers Quarters, the Hospital and the Ammunitions building at Fort Richardson in Jacksboro. He also built the visitors center there. Along the way he built 3 large Exhibits including a Lions Den and a Giraffe bridge at the Nelson Park Zoo in Abilene, a water works plant in Tye, Texas and even a section of railroad in Mineral Wells. First trip to market the shop became a furniture store. Larry joined the new endeavor and his sons, Rand and Jeffery took over Camp Construction which was active until 2020. He continued to design and draw plans for houses and commercial buildings, went to school and earned his State Registered Interior Designer License. He and Pearlene continued in the furniture store and interior design known as The Acorn until 2007.
