Dear Alanna, Kim, and the Extended Miller Family,
Please accept the thoughts & prayers of the Deetjen Family and we join you in reflecting on so many memorable and truly unique times together.
I came late onto the scene thanks to my Greater Grand Haven golf buddies who were kind enough to share his life, humor, and wisdom with me. I will never forget Boomer on the tee; in the Manhole; or in Myrtle Beach at the dinner or breakfast table reliving stories before the next round! Great times with a great guy and of course Alanna, I will never forget your kind words on the passing of Madeline. They are etched in my mind along with many other warm and thoughtful words from some some of the greatest Americans on earth that were raised and/or lucky enough to settle and raise families in the Tri-Cities Community! Thinking of your Family today, Larry Deetjen

Alanna, my memories of you & Dave are always filled with laughter, love & joy. Playing cards, telling jokes & laughing until it hurt. Your darling little Shelby & all the times we joked with Dave that he was second to her, & he smiling & confirming without a doubt. You are a couple from a time were family & country are first, love is something to be revered & worked on, & friendship & romance go hand in hand. Thank you for sharing your relationship, your devotion to one another, your man of men, a true gentleman, husband & father. Heaven gained a good one & we are all better from his time here with us. Blessings & love to you & the family.

I remember all the good times playing with cousins. Especially Jack & David because we lived close.

When my husband, Paul and I had a home in AZ not far from Alanna and Dave we would get together for dinner and cards many evenings at their home because of Alanna's dogs and she liked to cook also. Always had a fun time! Had a lot in common! Dave was always such a strong man doing work around their home - building things and hiking and golfing. Sorry I had to sell our home as my husband passed away and Alanna and Dave helped me so much with that aspect also. And that was only 4 years ago. Amazing what time can take away so quickly! Miss both of you, Alanna!

We will miss Dave and his kind, loving presence. I read this quote recently, "The day which we fear is our last is but the birthday of eternity ." Lucius A. Seneca
