George E. Arning, age 75, of Edgewater, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 23, 2024, in Erie, Pennsylvania.
He was born on March 30, 1949, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the son of Lester and Ruth Arning (Bell).
George was employed at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan. He volunteered at the Willow Run Bomber Plant Museum. He was retired and living in Edgewater, Florida, for the past five years. He enjoyed working on cars, going to car shows, eating at "Dogs" and "Grills" with his Florida friends, watching old movies, spending the 4th of July with his Centralia family, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was preceeded in death by his parents; and his sister, Janet S. Reep.
Survivors include: two children, Ben E. Arning (Paige) of Grand Haven, Michigan, and Jennifer A. Wolffis (John) of Spring Lake, Michigan; and two grandchildren, Mason and Caleb Wolffis.
Graveside Services for George E. Arning will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Centralia, Illinois, at 1:30 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2024, with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

I will miss George. We had alot of fun and laughs this past year. Especially working on the 1940 Ford Deluxe He pickup in Ft Myers last year. Ha was a walking book of Knowledge on all stuff FORD!
