Sam Bravata was a very special person to me for a number of years when I lived in Grand Rapids. Funny, bright, articulate, passionately interested in his family and friends. True to his Italan background, his cooking skills were unmatched. (Even the night his store at Gun Lake burned to the ground, he ended the evening by cooking a meal.) He shared so much of himself with me, and I think of him often because of that. He truly was "the wind beneath my wings" for many years. To his children: thank you for always including me. I love you still. Kathy Lefanty Johnston

What a Special, Joyful man Sam Bravata was....he will always be so very missed by me....I´ve been lucky enough to be his next door neighbor the last five years and it was a Blessing added to my life. What a truly wonderful and memorable man, whose spirit lifted others daily, through his smiles and his song.
I´ll never forget him. Much Love to his family...

My condolences to the family.
Ahhhh..... Sam Bravata Jr. What a guy!!! I was his 'last employee' as he frequently reminded me. I was his secretary from 2015 until he sold the BBQ account. He always treated me with respect.......I over heard some pretty racy language one day when he thought he had disconnected his cell call to me....he wrote me a cute note of apology!! We had been working on trying to get him into heaven.....not sure on how that got started. He was a very funny guy. He use to sing old time songs to me over the phone.....he was always surprised I knew them (my momma use to sing them to us)!
I loved when he would bring his stuffed green peppers (& etc.) into the office. Haven't had a good one since.
He was a delight to work for.
I know his passing will leave a big
hole in the Bravata family....he had A BIG personality. God bless you all. I pray the memories give you great comfort.

I am saddened that my dear friend Sammy has passed, and I send my love to his family. He was the kindest and gentlest person I´ve ever known. I was with him in Aspen when he said his first prayer, and then he initiated one at supper time. May he rest in peace
