Jeremy Meulenberg Obituary

Meulenberg, Jeremy 12/3/1973 - 4/15/2022 God in his infinite wisdom and sovereignty called home Jeremy David Meulenberg, age 48, on Good Friday, April 15, 2022. Jeremy was a child of God, a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He cherished his wife, Heidi, and set an example for his children, demonstrating his commitment and love to her. Some of the family's fondest memories are of times spent singing around the table, and Saturday family nights. He faithfully served his church and fellow man even in the midst of the trial of cancer in which God placed him. Jeremy enjoyed sports, coaching, farming, and his time spent fishing and snowmobiling with his son and good friends. He was the owner of Meulenberg Painting and Decorating, which through his leadership and talents has grown into a successful and respected business. He was preceded in death by his infant son, David James Meulenberg. Jeremy will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 26 years, Heidi; children, Madeline and Collin Mulder and their daughter Maci, Brianna, Dylan and fiancee Ella Pipe, Lydia, and Brooklynn; parents, Larry and Judy Meulenberg; parents-in-law, Jim and Evie Kaptein; brothers and sisters, David and Dawn Meulenberg, Marianne and Rick DeVries, Mark and Candace Meulenberg, Jodianne and Daryl Koole, Julianne and Curt Gritters, Cherianne and Brad VanderVeen, Joshua and Carrie Meulenberg, Caleb and Sandra Meulenberg, Matthew and Nicole Meulenberg; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Danielle and Bill VanOverloop; 46 nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles, church family, and friends as dear as family. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Grace Protestant Reformed Church, 11225 8th Ave. NW, Grand Rapids with Prof. Barry Gritters and Rev. Mitchell Dick officiating. Burial Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hope Protestant Reformed Christian School or Protestant Reformed Special Education. Condolences may be sent online at www.mkdfuneralhome.com.

I'm so so so sorry for your loss. I never met him but recall talking with Amanda at the office and praying with her for Jeremy and his family days after he slipped into the coma. He will truly be missed and his absence will be noticed. Prayers for Jeremy's family, friends and associates.
