George Delich

George Delich, 78, longtime Coleraine resident, died Sunday, August 31, 2025, in the Grand Itasca Hospital, Grand Rapids.

Born May 4, 1947, in Vinkovci, Yugoslavia, he was the son of Nikola and Katica (Skrabak) Delich. George grew up in Bovey and was a Bovey and Coleraine resident most of his life. He was a 1967 graduate of Greenway High School and married Anette Carpenter on September 21, 1968, in Taconite. He had been the produce manager for National Tea Grocery in Grand Rapids for 26 years and then owned and operated George's European Market and Four Seasons Market in Coleraine. He had been a member of the Coleraine Fire department, had served as a board member and officer of the Greenway Area Recreation Association, and had been an active supporter and youth sports coach for Greenway Schools.

His parents, Nick and Kata Delich preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Annette; daughter, Ann (Zoran) Vidovic; son, Steven (Jennifer) Delich; grandchildren, Dajana (Kolby) Condas and their children, Anja and Luka, Adriana (Jeffrey) Clusiau, Anto, Beau, and Maja.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the 3:00 PM funeral service on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery of Coleraine.
