JoAnn Rancourt Obituary
1948 - 2026
JoAnn "Dolly" Rancourt, 78, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth, MN.
JoAnn was born in 1948 in Grand Rapids, MN to James and Marie Adkins. JoAnn was a devoted wife, mother and grandma. She was married to William "JR" Rancourt for 58 years. JoAnn was a spitfire of a woman who cared for all. Her favorite times were spent tending to her garden and flowerbeds, baking with her grandchildren and her involvement with the Itasca Driftskippers. JoAnn and JR are founding members of the Itasca Driftskippers Snowmobile Club and have been devoted members ever since.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Marie; her siblings, Ron, John, Dennis, Roger, and Irene.
JoAnn is survived by her three daughters, Cathy, Nancy (Joe), and Vickie (Dickie); her grandchildren, Gary (Amanda), Nick (Nikki), Hunter, Michaela, and Brock; her great-grandchildren, Isaak, Landon, Charity, Buckley, and Logan; her siblings, Pete, Linda, Betty, Jimmy, and Ralph.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grand Rapids, MN with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM at the church. Fr. Blake Rozier will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date at Wildwood Cemetery, Cohasset, MN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to either Itasca Driftskippers or the Parkinson's Association.
