Judy E. Peck
1944 - 2025
Judy Elnora Peck, age 81, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away Monday, September 29, 2025, at her residence.
Judy Elnora was born September 19, 1944, to George Wright and Alice Eleanor (Davison) Seely, 20 minutes after her twin sister Jane Eldora, in Wadena, MN. Her family lived in the Wadena County area for a time before moving to Grand Rapids, MN. The family then moved to Deer River, where Judy graduated with the Class of 1962 from Deer River High School. Judy married in 1966 and had three children, settling in the Grand Rapids area.
Judy's family was most important to her. From 'coffee time' with daughter Tammy to playing games with the group, to 'snuggle time' with the littles. Judy's lap was where the great grandchildren came to trust as a place of peace and comfort. 'Nana' is what the littles called Grandma Judy. To all her extended family she was only a phone call away; quick to lend a listening ear and someone you could share all your dreams and struggles with. Judy was also a good sport about letting the kids paint her toenails, fix her hair, give her special make-up treatment, play dress up, and just about anything else.
Judy loved God and looked forward to her Sunday gospel music and preaching on the TV in her living room. In her last days Judy enjoyed bible readings from her son-in-law, Ricky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; seven half siblings Jess, Perry, Phil, Paul, Harvey, Bev, Laura, Florence, and their spouses; siblings Darwin (Doris) Seely, Naomi (Jay) Brayford, Loretta (Curt) Brayford, Melvin Seeley, Larry Seeley; brothers-in-law Lawrence Hoopman Sr. and Marvin Hoopman.
Judy is survived by her daughter Tammy (Richard) Guertin; sons Tim Peck and Corey Peck; grandchildren Stephanie (Ron) Marsh, Jennifer (Joe) Reckinger, Brandon (Abby) Hart; great grandchildren Noah Reckinger, Mercy Reckinger, Liam Marsh, Christian Reckinger, Gracelynn Reckinger and baby Michael Hart on the way; siblings Waneta Hoopman Sr., Bruce (Viola) Seeley, Jane Hoopman, Erlyn (Cathy) Seely; sisters-in-law Mary Seeley and Sue Seeley.
Visitation will be held at 4 PM Friday, October 10, 2025, at Solid Rock Church of God in Grand Rapids, MN with a funeral service to follow at 5 PM. Pastor Mary Fultz will officiate.
