Nancy Marie Foix
1954-2024
Nancy Marie Foix, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday 11/9/2024 in her home.
Nancy was born on August 15, 1954, graduated from Backus High school, and married her husband, Jim. She went to BSU and got a teaching degree. She taught school for only a short time before she decided to stay home and raise their 4 children Nina, Melissa, Gerald and Josh. They had a small hobby farm and raised their kids in Hill City on family land. When her children were older, she enjoyed being a CNA and caring for her elderly patients. After retiring she became severely ill with Covid and worked hard recovering her body and mind. She stayed active by walking along the road by her house nearly every day. She enjoyed music and appreciated the beauty in all of God's creations. She loved spending time with friends and family, and showed God's love by helping people in any way she could.
Nancy's memory will be cherished and kept alive by her children, Nina Foix (Anthony), Melissa Peterson (Roy), Josh Foix (Steff) and Melissa Foix; siblings, Sandra Linn(Jr), Rick Sawyer, Steve Sawyer(Kim); siblings-in-law Gary Foix (Donna), Sherri Lidholm(Dan), Larry Foix, Pam Mejdrich(Gene), Bob Foix, Sue Foix ;grandkids Alyssa(Dom), Barry, Brianna, Cody, Emma, Chelsey, Alexis, and Ryan; great grandkids Nevah, Emma, Holden, James, Makayla and Michael; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Nancy will join her husband Jim Foix, dad Edwin Sawyer, her son Gerald Foix; brother-in-law Chuck Foix; and nephew-in-law Brad Foix in heaven.
A Celebration of Life will be held on 11/23/24 at the Spang Hall in Hill City, MN from 2-4PM. Feel free to wear blue as it was her favorite color.
