LARRY FALLER Obituary

LARRY FALLER 07/09/1942 - 07/31/2025 Larry Lee Faller, 83, of Clarkfield passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Clarkfield Care Center. Larry was born on July 9, 1942, to William and Lydia (Melhaff) Faller and was raised on a farm northeast of Tripp, S. D. It was there that he developed a lifelong love for animals -- a passion that would guide his career and his way of life. Throughout his life, Larry was devoted to the trading and raising of all kinds of animals, a pursuit that brought him joy and fulfillment. In March of 1968, Larry married Lois Weisz of Kaylor, S.D. Together, they were blessed with three children and built a life rooted in family and hard work. In 2002, Larry and Lois moved to Clarkfield where he continued his work alongside his sons, Myron and Eric. Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his deep love for animals, and his enduring work ethic. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Lynn; his parents, William and Lydia; his brother Chester of Parkston, S.D.; and his sisters Iris Beck of Montesano, Wash., and Violet Heinz of Roanoke, Ill. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Lois; his sons Myron Faller and Eric (Kristine) Faller, both of Clarkfield; three grandsons; one great-grandson; brothers Oscar (Sylvia) Faller of York, Neb., and Gilbert (Irene) Faller of Mitchell, S.D.; sister Rosemary Laib of Armour, S.D.; as well as many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who will miss him dearly. In keeping with his generous spirit, Larry has chosen to donate his body to the medical department at University of Minnesota. A celebration of Larry's life will be held at a later date.
