JoAnn Williams Obituary

JoAnn Agee Williams, originally of Jonesville, Ky., passed away on Feb. 7, 2023, in North Carolina at age 85.
She leaves behind two loving and devoted children, Dr. Joy D. Lind (Ron) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Dr. Joseph B. Williams (Taufika) of Raleigh, North Carolina, and their two children, Reyna and Gabriel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Fred D. Williams (whom she married in 1963); her parents, Herbert Newell Agee and Nannie Higgason Agee; sisters Jennie Baugh and Margaret Goode; brothers Howard Agee and Paul Wayne Agee; half-sister Anita King Lewis; and half-brother Charles Agee.
JoAnn graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1958. She was a secretary at 1st National Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio; an elementary school teacher in Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana; a statistician at the Kentucky Department of Economic Security; and an administrator in the Division of Special Education, Kentucky Department of Education. However, above all of these various professional roles, she took greatest pride and enjoyment in being a "faithful wife and devoted mother."
The Williams family lived in Fort Thomas, Ky. for many years; Dr. and Mrs. Fred Williams moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, in 2012.
There will be no visitation or funeral service; notes of remembrance can be sent to Joy and Joseph at [email protected].

Joy and Joseph.
We were so sorry to learn of JoAnn's passing. We are thinking of all your family in this difficult time. We know that you have many wonderful memories to sustain you.
We remember what a good cook your mother was when they entertained people in their home in Ft. Thomas. She was an excellent hostess, and we have many fond memories of our time visiting with her and your dad there. God bless all of you.
