Michael Philip Davis, 31, of Catlettsburg, Ky., passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2023 at his home. He was born in Ashland, Ky., on Nov. 2, 1991, a son of Mike Davis and Brigitte Carroll.
Michael had a wonderful smile, he was social, charismatic, fun-loving and enjoyed life to the fullest. Michael was loved by all who knew him. He was always a UK fan, even at a young age he would sneak off and watch the games with his Papaw Rudy. Most importantly, he was an amazing father and loved his son, Emmett Michael Davis, with all his heart.
He is preceded in death by a step-grandmother, Donna Davis. Michael is survived by his father, Mike and Cindy Davis of Georgetown, Ky.; his mother, Brigitte and Jerry Carroll of Catlettsburg, Ky.; his son, Emmett Michael Davis of Catlettsburg, Ky. and his mother, Megan Fields of Ironton, Ohio; four brothers, Christian Davis of Dover, Ohio, Nathaniel Davis of Lexington, Ky., Joshua Davis of Georgetown, Ky., and Titus Carroll of Catlettsburg, Ky.; a sister, Ruby Fields, of Catlettsburg, Ky.; grandparents Rudy and Clyda Hester of Walnut Creek, Ohio, Keith Davis of Ironton, Ohio, Sylvia Negrete of Ashland, Ky., and David and Edar Hayman of Benton, Ky.
A funeral service for Michael will be held Thursday, Feb. 23 at First Baptist Church, 1120 Poplar St., Kenova, WV 25530, in Kenova, West Virginia at 1 p.m. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time at the church.
