Bob Lingscheit

Bob passed away on September 4, 2015 at the age of 76, surrounded by family and his loving wife Linda Lingscheit Ackerman. He is preceded in death by his father Beryl Lingscheit, and survived by his mother Helen Lingscheit. Together with his children and stepchildren: Kyle Lingscheit (Shelley), Tahnee Lingscheit (Tony), Jeff Griffith, Chris Griffith, Brian. Ackerman, and Tammy Bonfiglio; Grandchildren: Logan Foster, Sadie Foster, Luke Lingscheit, Tel Cattaneo, Callie Cattaneo, Colin Griffith; his brother Dick Lingscheit and his sister Patti Rizzo (Vince); numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. Bob graduated from Great Falls High School in 1957. After high school, Bob then entered the Marine Reserves. In 1958 he enrolled at the University of Denver where he Graduated in 1961 Cum Laude, with a Bachelor's Degree in finance. He married June Hanson. They later divorced and remained friends. From 1966 to 1975 he managed Super Save Grocery Stores in Great Falls, and owned Bob's Thriftway. In 1975 he became an insurance agent for Farmers Insurance Group. In 1980 Bob moved to Missoula, MT, where he resided until he moved to Phoenix, Arizona to become a district manager for Farmers Insurance Group. He met and married Linda Ackerman, and eventually retired from Farmers Insurance. He owned and operated select Auto Insurance Agency until 2012. Bob then became a publisher of Coffee News, where he continued until his passing. Bob was an amazing quiet and private man, with a great sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family, loved his walk in the park with his sweet little dog Misiu. He was right at home on the golf course. He rarely said anything negative about others, and was a great example of honesty and integrity. He was so loved and respected by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Bob treated every person he met with dignity and respect. He was always willing to help others. He was truly a kind soul and one great man! Celebration of Life will be on October 2nd at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church at 7201 N. 58th Dr., Glendale, AZ 85301. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Salvation Army.

I remember Bob from the "Blue Notes". He was a real good horn player, he will be missed. So sorry to hear of his passing.
