Thomas Blake Jeter

Thomas "Tom" Blake Jeter, 62, passed away on March 2nd, 2026.

Tom was born on January 10th, 1964, in Norfolk, Virginia to Elmer Reed Jeter and Lona Honoree Jeter. Tom was a loving brother to Bruce Jeter. He attended Ferrum College, where he earned a bachelor's degree while also playing football for the school. He then pursued a master's degree from the University of Denver. To round out his schooling he graduated from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law and with a Juris Doctorate.

Tom married his wife of 18 years, Catherine Lynn Smith, on July 2nd, 2007, at Evergreen, CO. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1991 to 1999 and received honorable discharge after service in Operation Desert Storm. He was awarded the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Combat Readiness Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, and National Defense Service Medal. He then went on to be a test pilot for many years and ended his career as a fixed-wing medivac pilot for Air Methods from 2021 to 2025.

Tom is survived by his spouse, Catherine Lynn Jeter of Parker, CO, his children Thaddeus Grey Jeter and Charlotte Rae Jeter, his brother, Bruce Jeter and his wife Donna Jeter, his nieces, Caitlin browning, her spouse, Kevin Browning, and their child Wyatt Browning, Erin Radford and her child, Kaleb Gehris, his nephew, Matthew and Carrie Radford, and children, Heidi, Emma, and Claire Radford.

A small gathering will be held on April 3rd, 2026, in Parker, CO, for close friends. The family will then travel for Virginia for a private gathering with close family.
