Cecelia Harmon Obituary

Cecelia J. Harmon, 84, of 427 9th Ave. S.W., died of cancer March 29 at Peace Hospice.
Cremation has taken place and her memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday in the Rose Room at Croxford Funeral Home.
Cecelia is survived by a son, Roger Harmon of Missoula; her grandsons Jeffrey Harmon, Jonathon Harmon and Eric Harmon; granddaughter Melissa Harmon; and great-grandson Trevor Johnson.
She was born March 25, 1925, in Great Falls to Frank and Meri Strnad. She was raised and educated in Great Falls, and graduated from Great Falls High School in 1943.
She played the trumpet in the Great Falls High School Band. Cecelia also attended business college in Spokane.
She married John Ray Harmon in Great Falls. She was employed at the Charles L. Brown Insurance for 23 years, and she was a landlord from 1952 until her death.
Cecelia volunteered at the PTA clothing center, the Salvation Army, Goodwill and St. Vincent DePaul. She was a member of the DAV. She loved raising dogs, collecting dolls, and spending time with her family at the cabin in Monarch.
She was preceded in death by her husband John R. Harmon on Oct. 2, 1983.
Memorials in her name are suggested to Camp Mak-a-Dream Montana, P.O. Box 1450, Missoula, MT 59806.
