Cyrus Cole Obituary
Services are 5 p.m. today at Chief Nosey Recreational Center, with rosary at 7 p.m. The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday at the center. Burial will follow in the Cole Family Cemetery.
Cyrus was born two months early Feb. 18, 1994, at the Havre hospital, weighing in at only 4 pounds and 9 ounces. He was baptized and flown via Mercy Flight to Benefis Hospital in Great Falls due to his premature birth. From day one, Cyrus has had us all on our minds, watching him closely because of his premature birth. At only 3 weeks old and weighing a whopping 4 pounds and 2 ounces, he was kicked out of the neonatal intensive care unit for being the "biggest preemie." From this day forward, Cyrus was known as our "TINY FIGHTER."
Cyrus attended Lodgepole Elementary School and Hays/Lodgepole High School for 3 years. Lately, he enjoyed hanging out at the Cole Ranch and helping Grandpa Andy take care of the ranch, always offering a helping hand to all other family/friends/neighbors with whatever needed to be done and whenever it needed doing. Cyrus' favorite rodeo sport was team roping (heeling); he won his first saddle in 2009 at the Bear Paw Rodeo Association Rodeo, roping with Ty Racine, one of many of his buddies.
Our "TINY FIGHTER" was always known for being a survivor from being a preemie at birth to the notorious school bus wreck, to his shenigans with his friends to always just his countless times of driving and living on the edge. This is what we will all miss the most and keep nearest to our hearts.
Cyrus was loved and cared for by many. Survivors include his parents, father Gene Andrew Cole III (Janelle) of Timber Ridge and mother Theresa Mae LongFox of Lodge Pole; his siblings, Andrew Gene Cole IV, Tawny Rose Gonzalez-Longfox and Laney "Raisins" Cole all of the Hays/Lodge Pole area; and his grandparents, Daniel and Christine Longfox of Lodge Pole and Andrew Gene Cole Jr. and Sharleen Cole of Timber Ridge.
Cyrus was primarily raised by Grandpa Andy and Grandma Sharleen, and, as we all know, he was the baby of the bunch. He was raised with many of his close cousins, Chase (Leesha) Cole, with kids Kellen and Karson of Timber Ridge, Marie (Jim) Weasel with kids Dontae, Mattea and Kaysen of Browning, Jasmine (Tom) Knudsen with baby Kodi Knudsen of Beaver Creek and AJ (Stacey) Crasco of Beaver Creek.
Cyrus is also survived by uncles Jack Cole of Missoula, Stacy Cole of Harlem and Darren Longfox of Lodge Pole; and aunts Juanita (Jake) Cole of Beaver Creek and Danette (Frank) Longfox of Billings.
He is also survived by a very large extended family on both the Cole and Longfox families.

Hi, I never had the chance to meet Cyrus or his family. But, I want to extend my deepest heartfelt condolences to all his family and friends. It sounds like he was very determined to do whatever he set his mind to do. And that he lived life to the fullest, each and every day. Maybe that was his way of showing his family that sense he was just 4 lbs when he was born, that he would make up for it by doing it his way. Just keep his great smile, the wonderful memories that you have of him close to your heart and he will always be with you forever.
