Daniel Bateman Obituary

MISSOULA - Daniel Leroy Bateman, 55, of Missoula, an Army veteran and former U.S. Postal Service employee who enjoyed music, fishing, hunting, rafting, restoring old muscle cars and spending time at the family cabin at Wolf Creek, died of cancer Jan. 13 in Missoula.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Cremation and Burial Society of the Rockies in Missoula. At his request, no funeral will be held, but a celebration of his life is Jan. 30 in Missoula.
Survivors include sons Lucas Bateman of Dillon, and Evan Bateman of Missoula; his mother, Eva Dubois of Great Falls; his sister, Debbie Nentwig of Missoula; stepsisters Bonnie Cartwright and Martha Bruno of Great Falls; stepbrothers David Gruenhagen of Oregon, Kenny Gruenhagen of Stevensville, and David Dubois of Great Falls; and three grandsons.

I think I served in the Army with dan and was just trying to locate some of my old buddies I'm so sorry we had a gang of friends we did every thing together back then my first time reaching out to find them as life was busy

what a very sad thing this is-im so sorry to dans kids.i worked with Dan at the post office in missoula a long time a ago- Dan was always a funny guy keep me laughing alot-thats what i remember the most good memories god bless and Dan your going to a much better place! your friend Debbie Marko
