Flory Ritchie Obituary

Flory Adelia Ritchie, 97, of Great Falls, a former practical nurse, died of natural causes Wednesday at Missouri River Medical Center in Fort Benton.
Visitation is until 8 p.m. Monday and until noon Tuesday at Croxford Funeral Home and Crematory. Graveside services are 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Highland Cemetery.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Flory was born in Steele, N.D., on July 7, 1910, and was raised and educated there. She and Lyman W. Ritchie were married in Steele on Oct. 15, 1935. They moved to Great Falls and lived here for many years. He preceded her in death in 1997.
Flory was certified as a practical nurse from the Post Graduate School of Nursing in Chicago in 1957, and worked in private home nursing care for a number of years in Great Falls. She also had many volunteer hours of service to the YWCA. She attended Faith Lutheran Church here and had a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ, a source of peace and strength for her.
In the summertime, she loved the outdoors and enjoyed flowers and gardening.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1997.
Memorials are suggested to either the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 74123; or to Peace Hospice of Montana, 2600 15th Ave. S., Great Falls, MT 59405.
