Glen Bouma Obituary
Conrad —Glen Maurice Bouma, 74, of Conrad, passed away of natural causes on November 8, 2013 at his home. Services will be held on Friday, Nov 15, 2013 at 11:00 am, at the Conrad Presbyterian Church. A luncheon will follow the service at the Conrad Moose Lodge. Glen was born in Conrad on November 19, 1938, to Corney and Margaret Bouma. Glen was raised on the family farm one mile West of Conrad. He graduated from Conrad High School in 1959. After, Glen purchased land West of Conrad where he grew malt barley and raised Red Angus cattle for 54 years with his wife Ruby (Hansmann) Bouma. Glen and Ruby were married on June 23, 1961. In 1973 Glen was presented the "Outstanding Young Farmer" award from the Conrad Jaycees. The following year Glen was presented with the 2nd place, "Montana Outstanding Young Farmer" award. In 2010 Glen was presented the Montana High School Association and US Bank's "Super Fan" award for supporting school activities. Over the years Glen volunteered his time and supported youth organizations such as 4-H, FFA, Marias Fair Horse Barn Project, and the Shooting Sports Club/building, along with numerous others. Glen was a Red Cross Volunteer, he supported/donated/worked at the Pondera Food Pantry. Glen was a long time member of the Conrad Moose Lodge and in 2013 Glen was elected one of the Grand Marshalls of the Whoop Up parade.
Glen is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Cody Wyatt Harris.
Survivors include his wife Ruby (Hansmann) Bouma of Conrad, daughter Charlene Bouma of Conrad,
granddaughters, Jerrica Harris of Bozeman, Jayleen Harris of Conrad, grandson, Colt Harris of Conrad and
great grandson Cody Garlen Harris of Conrad; brothers, Howard Bouma of Conrad, Ray Bouma of West Glacier, and sister, Ruth (Bouma) of Arizona.

Glen and Ruby are people you would want to be friends with and know all your life. Both my wife and I looked forward to seeing Glen and Ruby at our class reunions in Conrad. Both are such a nice people.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am so sorry for your loss of such a wonderful man that you had in Glen. He always was ready to lend a helping hand. He also had such a warm smile and awesome laugh. Kids always came first in his world. Especially his little girl. She was his world at all times. I can remember going over there when I was younger and riding horses in the corral with Char and the other friends. Glen and Ruby standing and watching and making all was well. He will be missed that's for dang sure! Keep those memories close bc they will fade.
