Grace Scheffelmear Obituary

SHELBY - Grace Lynette (Moore) Scheffelmear, 49, of Shelby, a claims manager, died of heart failure Saturday at her home in Shelby.
Visitation is 1 to 8 p.m. today at the Whitted Funeral Chapel. Her funeral is 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel, with burial in Mountain View Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Brian Scheffelmear of Downey, Calif.; sons Donn J. Alexander of Shelby and David D. Moore of Spangdahlem Air Force Base in Germany; a sister, Penny (Jim) Horner of Whitefish; brothers Duane (Cathy) Moore and Brad Moore of Whitefish; a grandson, Cade Alexander of Great Falls; aunts Elizabeth Jackson of Seattle, Carol Lockwood of Polson and Grace Lattrel of Eugene, Ore.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gene Moore.
Grace was born Aug. 28, 1958, in Shelby to Harry and Margaret (Hanes) Moore. She graduated from high school in 1976 and attended business school in Great Falls for two years.
Grace worked as a claims manager for Watkins-Shepard Trucking at their Shelby and Helena locations for many years. She and her husband, Brian, had been together since 1995, and moved to California in 2000. She had just recently moved back to Shelby to live.
She was an active member in the Elks, Moose and the JayCee's. Grace enjoyed reading, ceramics, arts and crafts and doing jigsaw puzzles.
