James Pascal Obituary

James Anthony Pascal Jr.

Spokane —James "Jim" Anthony Pascal Jr., age 64, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 29, 2015 in Spokane, WA after spending his final days with his family.

Jim was born December 25th, 1950 in Great Falls, MT to James and Doris Pascal. He grew up in Great Falls and graduated from Great Falls High School in 1969. While in high school he sang with the Delphian Choir. Jim graduated from the University of Montana in 1973 with a degree in History and Secondary Education. His journey as a teacher with the Great Falls School District spanned 27 years. He was a librarian in elementary schools, middle schools, and both high schools. Jim was an instructor for drivers' education at the high school. Jim was a dedicated and well-respected educator that touched many students' and fellow teachers' lives alike. Jim was an active member of Sunrise Presbyterian Church, serving for eight years as an elder and trustee, and also singing in the choir.

In 1974, Jim married Roanne, his wife of forty-one years, and had two sons. In 2000, Jim accepted an early retirement and moved with Roanne to Oakley, CA for two years and then to Spokane to be closer to their two grandchildren. Jim was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He was thankful for the time he had with Douglas and Dominic.

Jim is survived by his wife, Roanne, of Spokane; his sons Ryan (Denise) and Cayle, both of Spokane; parents, Jim and Doris Pascal, of Great Falls, MT; brother, Steve (Debbie) Pascal of Billings, MT; sister Sue (Ron) McCullough of Helena, MT; grandchildren Douglas and Dominic; and other extended family. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents.

No funeral services are planned. Jim's wish was that his body be donated to science to aid in the research to find a cure for diabetes. Please send all memorials to the American Diabetes Association Research Foundation.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. Pascal's passing. I had him for drivers ed many years ago and still have very fun memories of that time. He was a very kind man who cared for all he came across. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I hope the comfort of your memories will help you get through this difficult time.
