John Bowlin Obituary
GREAT FALLS — John Carter Bowlin left this world Sunday, August 6, 2017.
John was born October 22, 1935 to Celia and Garold Bowlin in Lewiston, ID. He had 3 siblings, Don, Norma and Celia. John was raised by his grandmother, who he spoke of with deep reverence. His Uncle Herbie was also a huge influence in his life, taught him about automobiles, mechanics, and racing. A child born during the Great Depression, John learned to scrap and salvage at a young age.
John was preceded in death by his parents and sister Norma.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Linda; 8 children; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Many of the boys and their friends worked for JB and will remember numerous stories and advice given by the "Ol Man." After which, he was fond of saying, "Take my advice and do as you please."
You will forever be in our hearts and our memories, whenever we drive through this "part of the country" or another.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Schnider Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel.
