John Crunkleton Obituary

SUN PRAIRIE - John Duane Crunkleton, 66, of Sun Prairie, a Navy veteran, died of undeter-mined causes Thursday at his home,
A gathering for family and friends is 2 p.m. Saturday at the Horse Shoe Bar in Sun Prairie. Schnider Funeral Home is han-dling arrangements.
John was born Feb. 18, 1944, to John Crunkleton and Betty (Ma-rantette) in Lincoln, N.C. He grew up and spent most of his life in Kalispell and Great Falls, Mont., and attended Great Falls High School. He served his country in the U.S Navy from 1962-1965.
He married Alice Dague on April 4, 1964.
John enjoyed old cars and spending time with friends, but above all, he treasured his family.
His favorite pastime was NASCAR, and watching the race every Sunday with his friends at the Horseshoe.
Survivors include daughters, Renee (Delbert) Miller and Liz Crunkleton, all of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Tisha Crunkleton of Great Falls, Mont.; son Jason Crunkle-ton of Yakima, Wash.; brothers and sisters, Patty (Jim) Arndt and Dan (Marge) Waitt of Great Falls, Ann (Gary) Varney of Turner, Maine, and Dennis Waitt of Great Falls; five granddaughters, two grandsons and two great-grandsons;and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents; wife; aunts Loretta Mckenzie, Pat Larson and Ruth Kempa; and nephews Terry Joe Mehan and Nicholas Tanner Waitt.
