Judith McIntosh Obituary

Judith "Judie" Ann (Beauregard) McIntosh, 67, of Great Falls, died of natural causes Saturday, Sept. 8, at a local hospital.

Funeral services are noon Wednesday at Saint Ann's Cathedral, Great Falls. Burial is 10 a.m. Thursday at Riverside Cemetery in Fort Benton. Croxford Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Judie was born March 29, 1945, in Fort Benton to Joseph and Marge Beauregard. Judie graduated from Fort Benton High School and went onto earn a nursing degree from the Columbus School of Nursing in Great Falls. After nursing school, she went to work for Dr. Tom Powers for 10 years. Judie also spent time as a surgical nurse at the Columbus and Deaconess Hospitals. Judie also spent a short while working for the Ortho Group in Great Falls.

Judie married John McIntosh on July 15, 1967, in Fort Benton, but they made Great Falls their home. Judie enjoyed going to the mountains and snow skiing; she taught many of her nieces and nephews how to ski. As a young girl, she thoroughly enjoyed horseback riding, especially on her horse "Beauty." Judie also enjoyed spending time supporting her son and grandsons' many sporting adventures. You could always hear her yelling "You Bet" or "Go Blue."

Judie also enjoyed spending time in the backyard taking care of her flowers and making sure her pool was pristine. She also enjoyed entertaining; it didn't matter if it was a small get-together or a whole football team, she did it with ease.

Judie is survived by her husband of 45 years; son Mike (Lacey) McIntosh of Great Falls; grandkids Cameron and Reese McIntosh of Great Falls; brother Jim Beauregard of Kalispell; five nieces; and 10 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Patricia "Pat" Brewer and Josephine "Joei" Peters.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Great Falls Community Ice Foundation. Information can be found at www.gf-ice.org.

Judie was my mom's (Mary (McCarthy) Sullivan) college roommate, and I can remember as a kid thinking that she was the coolest lady I knew. It was always a treat to visit her in Great Falls. She had a gift for making you feel like you were the most important person in the world, and I'm sure everyone who knew her would agree with that. Wishing all her friends and family the peace and comfort that comes from great memories and the knowledge of a good life lived. The world will surely be a little less bright without her in it. Love to all, Kelly (Sullivan) Smith, Butte
