Lillian Mather Obituary
A memorial service and reception is 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 810 S. Sullivan Road, Spokane Valley, Wash. Hennessey Valley Funeral Home of Spokane Valley is handling arrangements.
Her family was very important to her and she is survived by daughters Debra Mather and Carol Kinzebach; a son, Don Mather; a brother, Richard Forster; and a sister, Barbara Mechels; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Lillian was born Sept. 12, 1936, to Fritz and Lilly Forster in Great Falls. On April 2, 1952, she married Delbert Mather, who preceded her in death on July 3, 1999.
She worked for many years at Good Samaritan in Spokane Valley as a CNA2, where she enjoyed helping others spiritually and physically. Lillian was very active and devoted to her church. Her hobbies were reading, playing bingo, cards and traveling, and she was a member of many community organizations.
Lillian was known for her wonderful sense of humor and extreme generosity. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Dear Debbie, Carol Susan and Donnie and families.
I am so sorry to hear of your mother's death. My prayer is that she is in the Lord's hands and is at peace. I pray that PEACE for each of you and your family as well. I would love to be there to see each of you, but circumstances do not allow that so I will be thinking of you and praying for you. With love always, Uncle Duane.

To Lillian's family,
I most certainly send my condolences for your great loss.
I have known Lillian approx 21 years. I was a nurse at Good Sam for many years, She took care of my grandmother there and over time became a friend of my mother's as well. She would send snacks and little things to my children as they were growing up as well, and she became an additional grandmother for them. When I could break away for a few mins to myself- Lillian was always there with a snack or sandwich and a glass of wine.
