Lorrie Sukut Obituary

LOLO - Lorrie Lee Sukut, 36, of Lolo, died of breast cancer Tuesday at a Missoula hospital.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Cremation and Burial Society of the Rockies. A celebration of her life is 11 a.m. Monday at the Lolo Community Center, followed by a lunch. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cascade, followed by a lunch.
Lorrie, along with her twin sister Laura, was born March 21, 1973, in Billings, to Earl and Bernice Sukut. She grew up in Cascade, graduating from high school in 1991. After high school, she attended the University of Montana in Missoula, where she remained and made her home until her passing.
Lorrie was employed as the salon coordinator at Dillard's for the past 11 years and in that time won the Pace Setter Award three years in a row, which is an elite status of sales volume in her position.
Lorrie is survived by her father, Earl Sukut of Cascade; her sisters, Rhonda (Kenny) Lesofski of Cascade, Becky Ramsey of Reno, Nev., and Laura (Jarrod) Lindseth of Billings; nieces Danielle, Kayla and Celina Lesofski of Cascade, and Ava Lindseth, along with a soon-to-be niece or nephew of Billings; her grandmother, Florence Damon of Cascade; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Lorrie was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice (Damon) Sukut, in 2006.
Lorrie came into this world a fighter and never gave up. She was the most avid female sports fan known to the world, as well as an extensive collector of Mickey Mouse memorabilia. Lorrie lived her life through her love of music, books, movies and animals, along with a multitude of other interests. She always put her family and friends above everything, especially herself. Her quick wit, gorgeous smile and infectious laughter drew so many people to her throughout her life, and the marks that she has left on all our hearts will forever be cherished and carried with us.
The family requests memorials in Lorrie's name to either the St. Patrick Hospital Foundation or the Humane Society of Western Montana.

Laura and Family,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss and you and your family are in our prayers. Lorrie was such a joy to have around in high school and although we never kept in touch it sounds like she had a full and happy life. She will be very much missed. Love and peace to you all.

Dear family,
Among my fondest memories of school days were having the Sukut twins in my first grade class. Lori so quiet and beautiful and intelligent learning by listening and Laura so lively and interested in all of life around her and reporting every single activity. They were and are the sweetest and most loving of little citizens. Lori will brighten heaven with her aura just as she has brightened all of our lives and will continue on in our memories and thoughts teaching us courage and patience and love for one another. I am so glad to have been blessed by knowing this lovely dear person and all of you who remain here with me.. Love, Mrs. B

We are very saddened to hear of Lorrie's untimely passing. I will always remember teaching her in my high school education class and taking her through the sacrament of Confirmation. She was a sweetheart and always so polite and caring. I visited with her several times in Missoula and she grew up to be a beautiful young lady and loved her career. May she rest in the love and peace of Christ's kingdom. What a lose for all of us, what a joy for our Lord to have her home with Him again. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this most difficult time. John and Debbie Cheek

Dear Sukut Family,
I am Jodi Baker's sister-in-law. Lorie accompanied Jodi in 2004 when Jodi's dad passed away in Idaho. She became a member of our family in those few days, during what was a difficult time. Friends like that are far too few in life! We join Jodi and your family in grieving Lorie's loss. God bless.

We are very sorry to hear of the loss of Lorrie. And send our sympathy to the Earl Sukut family, especially to Laura, Jarrod and Ava.
I met her only once at Jarrod and Laura’s wedding and thought what a fun, bubbly personalty. It is always a shame when someone so young is taken from us.
