June was born June 12, 1934, in Fayette County, Ala., and raised in Alabama and Texas. She married Billy G. Neagle in Itasca, Texas, in 1950, and, as a U.S. Air Force wife, followed her husband to Great Falls, where he was stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base. Lula went to work in the civil service at the U.S.A.F. commissary, retiring in 1987.
She had many hobbies and interests, including horses, ceramics, antiques and quilting.
