Marianne McKay Obituary

Marianne McKay

Fort Shaw —Marianne McKay, 55, of Fort Shaw, was guided by angels to her heavenly home on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. A memorial service will be held at Fort Shaw Bible Church on Friday, November 21st at 1:00pm with Pastor Kirby Jones officiating.

Marianne was born December 8, 1958 to Bud and Thelma Hane in Fort Shaw, Montana. She graduated from Simms High School and in 1977 she was married to the love of her life, Dallas McKay. Together they raised two children, Megan and Aaron. Marianne spent many years raising her children and loved being a stay at home mom. During her working years she could be found substituting for Sun River Valley Schools or running the farm. She spent many years working as a secretary at Sun River School and later at Fort Shaw Elementary. Marianne also worked part time for Fort Shaw Irrigation district for ten years.

She loved gardening and traveling, but her life's greatest joy was being a grandma and taking care of all her kids at school.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Dallas McKay of Fort Shaw; daughter, Megan (Zach) Miller of Great Falls; son, Aaron (Kelli) McKay of Simms; parents, Bud and Thelma Hane of Fort Shaw; sisters, Janet Hayes of Great Falls and Karen (Bernie) Davidson of Casper, WY; brothers, Tim (Jamie), Jon (Shannon) and Mike (Patti) Hane, all of Fort Shaw; grandchildren, Max, Hannah and Emmersen Miller as well as several nieces and nephews.

Those who have preceded her in death are her grandparents, Edna & Clarence Hane and Thelma & Tobe Kunkel.
