Mark Slade Obituary
GREAT FALLS —Mark Daniel Slade age 31, chose to leave this world on angel's wings on July 8, 2016.
The visitation service will be held Tuesday night at 7:00 at Kirkwood Funeral Home in Malta. The Memorial service at the Malta Lutheran Church on Wednesday, July 13th at 11:00 A.M. Condolences for the family may be left at www.kirkwoodfuneralhome.com
Mark was devoted husband, dad, son, brother, brother in law, uncle and friend. He was born on February 24, 1985 to Bud and Beth Slade in Havre, Mt. Mark was raised in Malta, where he attended elementary and high school. He attended Miles City Community College then went on to finish his degree at Northern Montana College in Havre. He married Melanie Green in 2007 and from that marriage was born the light of his life Mya Slade in 2011. Mark worked for Hoven Equipment in Great Falls. He was an avid outdoorsman that loved to hunt, fish and golf. Mark could be found at a very early age fishing with his friends, Maxie in the morning and golfing with George in the afternoon.
He is survived by his wife Melanie and daughter Mya, his parents Bud and Beth Slade a brother Jim (Jonnae) Slade and nephew Kellen of Billings MT, and his two dogs Ada and Sadie. Other survivors are his grandmother Francis Slade of Malta, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Mark is preceded in death by Grandparents Jim and Dorothy Salsbery, Earl Slade, Father in law Jean Green, Uncles Kevin Salsbery, Smuck Mann, and Greg Sorbel, and cousin Josh Mann.

Although I haven't seen Mark in quite a few years I knew him fairly well. Mark, Dallas, and I hunted together around Whitewater in years past. I remember Mark to be so good natured with a very positive attitude and an infectious smile that could turn anybody's day around. He embodied what it means to be "Montanan". I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to all Mark's family and friends. Melanie, I am truly sorry...may you always find light in treasured memories.

To the Wife and Children of :Mark, I never met Mark or his family, yet, I'd like to offer you my deepest condolences and thank you for your honesty.
My heart sincerely breaks for you and your family. I wish there were words to ease or lesson the pain and greif you are going through. I only knew Mark slightly and that was on the Golf course but he impressed me with his genuine happy go lucky attitude. I always felt at ease around him and was impressed with his kindness and patience towards us hackers with far less ability. My best to his family.

I sure will miss Mark's smile and his laughter. We had lots of lunches together in the break room at hovens and lately at places in great falls. Lots of good spirited b.s.ing and me coming up with stupid things to say to make him laugh. I loved him like a brother and a piece of me will always be missing now. May God be with all who cared for him and give us strength.
