Mary Griffin Obituary

Mary Jane (Dodge) Griffin, 92, of 256 Dune Drive, a retired office manager and homemaker, died of natural causes Monday at a local hospital.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Croxford Funeral Home and Crematory, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Survivors include a daughter, Janel R. Robbins; sons Elbert Griffin III, Jeffrey Griffin and Douglas Griffin; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert N. Griffin II.
Mary Jane was born Dec. 25, 1917, in Cleveland, Ohio, where she was raised and educated, graduating from Shaw High School.
She married Elbert N. Griffin II on Aug. 18, 1934, in Cleveland.
Mary Jane was a very social, friendly and compassionate person dedicated to her family. She was always polite, kind and ready to smile. In her last days of life, she claimed that she had lived a "wonderful life." We are all grateful for having her in our lives. We, the family, will miss her.
The family wishes to extend a special word of thanks to Azalea Place Assisted Living for its dedication and kindness, and for providing a healthy living opportunity for our mother.
