ALL of the Sisters of Providence were saints!
I didn't know Sister Valerie, but I knew several SOP sisters who taught me at St. Thomas Grade School/Orphans Home in the '60s, and they were wonderful, that was a time when the
real guidance was good,

Few people know how quietly trailblazing the Sister's of Providence were in Great Falls. Some simple, some quieter than others; fully appreciative of all those who crossed their paths, took classes, were reltatives of those who worked for them.
Sister Benoit was kind. She was one of the teachers who made the Education department at the then, College of Great Falls, along with other Providence instructors, a force comparable to Gonzaga University!
Anyone who graduated under these instructors, or graced their paths, surely encountered the last of the best nuns in the West!
Priests and nuns from the Seattle and Washington area altered people's lives exponentially, inspiring love, joy, and peace in those they encountered.
May Sister Maryanne receive at this time all that she poured forth into other's lives, great love, particularly - practical joy!
Many warm prayers to her family!
