I didn't know Sister Valerie, but I knew several SOP sisters who taught me at St. Thomas Grade School/Orphans Home in the '60s, and they were wonderful, that was a time when the

Few people know how quietly trailblazing the Sister's of Providence were in Great Falls. Some simple, some quieter than others; fully appreciative of all those who crossed their paths, took classes, were reltatives of those who worked for them.

Sister Benoit was kind. She was one of the teachers who made the Education department at the then, College of Great Falls, along with other Providence instructors, a force comparable to Gonzaga University!

I was fortunate to have had sister Mary ann benoit as an English teacher at the college of great falls in sept of 1974. When I heard that she passed away from some one at the UGf.
