Shelby - Merton T. Hesla, 94, passed Fri, Oct 23, 2020. Public service will be today at 2pm at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Burial with military honors will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. A full obituary can be read at www.asperfh.com.

I knew the Hesla family as we belonged to the Lutheran Church in Shelby and it was a delight to know Merton and attend the Youth events with him--always remembered him as polite and thoughtful and earnest in his efforts to honor his faith. Would like his family to know how I enjoyed his company when we were young. Spokane WA
