Michael S. Servoss

Longview, Washington —Michael S. Servoss, 72, Longview, WA passed away on July 18, 2013. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 30, at Kelso Christian Assembly of God, 403 Academy St., Kelso, WA 98626.

Mike was born January 13, 1941 in Great Falls to George and Evelyn (Conway) Servoss. He graduated from GFHS in 1959. In 1969 he married Midge Stevens. They later divorced. He married Linda Francetich on St. Patrick's Day in 1978.

He joined the Great Falls Fire Department in 1963, achieving the rank of Captain. He was in charge of fire/medical communications and radio maintenance for the department. Mike was medically retired in 1979. He and Lynn moved to Portland, OR in the 1980s, and later settled in Longview, WA.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lynn, as well as sons John Servoss and Mick Servoss, stepsons Mike Thunstrom and Chris (Rikki) Thunstrom, and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Allan (Gail) Servoss of Auburn, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roger.

Condolences may be sent to the Assembly of God Church in Kelso. Memorial donations are suggested through the Great Falls Fire Department Local #8 (charitable) or to a charity of one's choice.

Sorry to hear about Mike. He was my boss when I dispatch for the fire department. He was a good guy and a good friend. He will be greatly missed.
