Patricia Ann Minder

Patricia Ann Minder, 89, of Great Falls, died of natural causes Tuesday, April 23, surrounded by family at Peace Hospice.



A celebration of life is 1 p.m. Friday, April 26, at O'Connor Funeral Home.



The youngest of five children, she was born in Three Forks to Raymond Edward and Mary Frances (Lawler) Kyser on April 4, 1924. The family moved to Livingston where Pat attended school. After graduating from Park County High School in 1942, she lived and worked as a bookkeeper in Seattle, Wash. Back in Livingston, she met and married John Lane Minder in 1946, dedicating her life to the roles of homemaker and mother.



Over several years she and John lived in Dillon, Seattle and Spokane. They moved to Great Falls in 1957. Pat was a member of several tennis and bridge groups, Great Falls Central Mothers' Club and other parent associations during her children's growing-up years. She had a love of and a flair for art, taking pleasure in decorating her home, painting and sculpting.



She is survived by her six children and their spouses, Alfred John Minder, Thomas (Kris Knutzen) Minder and Richard (Grace) Minder all of Fairbanks, Alaska, Jean Minder of Anchorage, Alaska, Mary Pat Owen of Portland, Ore. and Margaret (Gary) Jones of Spokane, Wash.; eight grandchildren, Lane and Chad (Heidi) Helgeson, Josh (Carla), Jake, and Jeff Owen and Sierra, Mariah and John Thomas Minder. She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren; three nephews; and a niece.



She was preceded in death by her husband; and all of her siblings.



The family wishes to thank Alanna and Tawn Loftus; Cambridge Court aides Carla, Katie, Carol, Linda and Jerry, along with the entire staff at Peace Hospice for the exceptional level of care they have extended to our mother and the incredible support shown to our entire family.
