John and Family, may your mom rest in peace. Peace be with you and your family. Peace on earth. Bill Shikany

I was deeply saddened with the passing of this wonderful lady. There are not enough words to describe how much we all thought of her. I was close friends with her son John in high school; due to my family "issues", I spent many days staying at her house over the years as a safe haven. She and her beloved husband (known as Whiskey John to us) took such good care of me. Many times when John and all of us would roll in, she would go begin thawing out a huge package of tenderloins so she could feed us all! Always so gracious. I've always remembered the security she and Mr. Minder provided to me: they were like Motel 6, as they always left a light on for me.
With love,
