Robert Milch Obituary

Robert "Bob" Milch, 78, of Great Falls, died of a heart attack Thursday at a local hospital.
Cremation will take place under the direction of O'Connor Funeral Home. At his request no formal services will be held.
He is survived by his four children, Linda (John) Gonser of Great Falls, Pam (Dave) Rohac of Vacaville, Calif., Steve (Sue) Milch of Billings and Laurie Milch of Vacaville, Calif., as well as his sister Rosemary Gardner of Washington, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was born April 15, 1929, in Great Falls to Joe and Agnes (Brennan) Milch. After graduation from Great Falls High School, he earned a Bachelor's degree from the College of Great Falls, while working at the Anaconda Copper Co. He later had a very successful career at Prudential Insurance Company and was honored twice as the Western Sales Leader. He was honored by Prudential with numerous medals, plaques and awards, which adorn the walls of his billiards room.
He was an entertaining storyteller, avid golfer, hunter, fisherman, and skier. His favorite memories were vacations at Whitefish Lake with his family. He had wonderful vegetable and flower gardens and his yard was a haven to birds and squirrels. He was well loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Lorna; his parents; and his brothers William "Bill" Milch, and Joseph Brennan "J.B." Milch,.
The family suggests memorials to the Elks Club, where he spent much of his free time.

Dear Laurie & family,
I was so sorry to read of the recent passing of your father Laurie. It seems not so long ago you lost your lovely mother. How especially hard it must be to lose them so close together. My deepest sympathies go out to your and your sisters' & brother's families. Hope all else is well your way. You were my "firstest bestest" friend and I think of you often. Take care and my best to you & yours always!!
Love & hugs from your friend & old neighbor...
