Sandra Lynn Schaefer

Conrad/Lolo - Sandra Lynn (Sherrard) Schaefer passed away at Hillside Manor in Missoula from complications of diabetes on Saturday, February 23, 2019. She was surrounded by her husband, children, daughter in law and two of her grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 9, at 10:00 AM at Pondera Valley Lutheran Church in Conrad.

Sandi was born July 29,1949 in Conrad to John H Sherrard, Jr and Iva (Mondy) Sherrard. She grew up on the family farm in Ledger and attended the Montana School for the Deaf in Great Falls, graduating in 1968. She was employed by Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Great Falls for 17 years.

She was a past Sec/Treas for the Big Sky Recreational Association of the Deaf and past President of the Great Falls Club of the Deaf and a long time member of the Montana Association of the Deaf. Sandi was a creative and talented artist, sewed quilts, made and collected miniature food and kitchen items and greatly admired for her culinary skills.

She leaves behind her husband of 49 years, Willy; son, Mike and his wife, Lauriellen; daughter, Heidi and her fiancé, Robb Eckert; 7 grandchildren, Caytie, Anna, Aubrie, Frankie, Johnny and twins, Walter and Zeke; her mother, Iva Sherrard; brothers, Bob and his wife, Tammy and Leslie and his wife, Suzie; and sister, Shelly. She was preceded by her father, John.
