Steve Lorenz Obituary

MISSOULA - Fort Benton na-tive Steve Charlton Lorenz, 52, of Missoula, died of natural causes Friday in Missoula.
His memorial services were held in Missoula and Great Falls. The Great Falls memorial service should have been listed in Wednesday's Tribune. The Trib-une apologizes for the inconvenience this caused. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Garden City Funeral Home of Missoula.
He is survived by his parents, Elsie and Charles Lorenz; broth-ers Ron (Brenda) and Alan (Tina), all of Great Falls; sisters Lynette Copp (Ron) of Great Falls and Marjorie NearPass (Brent) of Red Lodge; five nephews, one niece; three great-nephews; plus a large extended family at Mis-soula Developmental Services Corporation.
He was born Nov. 8, 1954, in Fort Benton, the son of Elsie and Charles Lorenz. Steve lived at home until age 14, when he went to the Montana State Devel-opmental Hospital at Boulder, until age 36. He then moved to Missoula and lived at South Hills and then Kent Street Group Home, until his passing.
He was a special child of God, and was dearly loved by all who knew or cared for him. He loved everyone and was very special to them. He always loved music, TV game shows, mechanical things and was always ready to go for car rides. He will be greatly missed by all.
The family suggests that memorials in Steve's name be made to one of the following: MDSC; Hospice of Missoula; Great Falls Easter Seals or Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Falls.

Remember, Steve is running and giving bear hugs to every one in Heaven now, because of his special needs he couldn't run while he was with us, but boy could that guy give you a great hug. Love you all, Tina Lorenz
