Verlette Eshleman

Great Falls - Verlette Eshleman, 81, passed away on June 13, 2018 in Keizer Oregon, where she was staying with her family.

Verlette was born on December 1, 1936 in Billings MT. Verlette and her twin sister Verlene were adopted by William and Madelyn Graham. Little Verlene passed away December 29, 1936 from pneumonia at just 28 days old.

She lived most of her life in Montana, including Butte, Hardin, Deer Lodge and Great Falls. She attended school in Hardin where she met and married Daniel Eshleman on September 4, 1955 in Worland WY. They were married 59 years, Dan passed away in 2014.

Dan was a police officer in Hardin for the first few years of their marriage before becoming a Montana Highway Patrol officer in 1961, at which time they moved to Baker MT. The family later lived in Wolf Point, Deer Lodge , and settled in Great Falls in 1975.

Verlette stayed home raising their three daughters and was very involved in their lives. She was active in Girl Scouts, and the Catholic Church. She never missed one of Sheryl's basketball games or Tammy's chorale concerts. She enjoyed playing games, Yahtzee and dominoes, having coffee with friends sharing all the community news, John Wayne, old western movies, and had a love of music which she passed on to all her family.

Verlette is survived by her three daughters, Sheryl (Dennis)Hunking of Keizer OR, Tammy Eshleman of Bozeman MT, and Karen Southers of Great Falls, four grandchildren Steven, Michael (Beth), Jason (Anne), and Kayle Black also of Keizer OR and 10 great grandchildren, and her faithful cat Gracie, who was by her side to the end.

A graveside service will be held at 11am, July 24th at Highland Cemetery in Great Falls MT.
