Gary Schneider

Gary Schneider, 82, of Greeley, passed away on November 17, 2022 in Greeley, Colorado. He was born to Fred and Irene Schneider on March 1, 1940 in Greeley, Colorado. Gary attended Pierce High School and graduated in 1958. He met and later married the love of his life Marjorie Simpson on 12/20/58. He proudly served in the US Navy in Texas and was honorably discharged on October 28, 1961 after serving more than 3 years. Gary then worked at Texas Instruments for more than 30 years. Gary loved to play guitar and harmonicas which he had quite a collection of. He played in a band in his younger years in Texas. After his move back to Greeley in 2017 he would join in with other bands at the Greeley Place, Greeley Senior Center and The Lodge. He loved the outdoors; from riding his Harley, fishing, hunting, boating to golfing. He liked to travel, especially to Mexico where he received his scuba certification and made many dives in the beautiful waters. When he was cooped up inside the house, he turned to canvas painting, drawing and wood carving. He loved tinkering with anything he can get his hands on. Gary knew no strangers. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him and loved him. He is survived by his sister, Marion Cogswell, daughter, Cori Coffey and many nieces/ nephews, grandkids and friends.
