Philip Stipetich

Philip Joseph Stipetich, 61, of Fort Collins, CO, passed away due to natural causes on January 26, 2022. Phil was born to Frank and Margaret (Ray) Stipetich on December 11, 1960, in Marshall, MI. He was raised in Greeley, CO, with his siblings, Julie and Paula. Phil graduated from Greeley West High School and attended Mesa University and CSU, graduating with a bachelor's degree in engineering. Throughout his college career, Phil was a chef at many local restaurants. He then spent over twenty years at Hewitt Packard and retired as a Senior Lead Software Test Engineer. Phil had a passion for the mountains and a natural gift for taking wonderful pictures of them. He also enjoyed fishing and tying his own flies. Phil was always optimistic in spite of his chronic health conditions and loved sharing his love for cooking with his niece and nephews. Phil passed away on the Colorado waiting list for heart and kidney transplants. Phil is survived by his mother, Margaret Stipetich, of Greeley, CO, his sisters, Julie (Tim) Ferguson, of Windsor, CO, and Paula Stipetich-Thomas of Greeley, CO. He is also survived by his niece and nephews: Dylan and Nick Thomas, and David, Adam, and Caitlin Ferguson. He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Stipetich. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, February 11, at 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2222 23rd ave. in Greeley, CO. A light luncheon, and burial at 3:00 pm at Linn Grove Cemetery in Greeley, CO.
