VandenElzen, Allen

Allen C. VandenElzen, 69, Green Bay, passed away at home on Saturday, June 16, 2012.

Allen was born June 20, 1942 to the late Norbert and Janet (Fite) VandenElzen. On September 21, 1963 he married Marlene Process. He was the owner and operator of Valley Equipment for over thirty four years. Al enjoyed his work and appreciated all of his loyal customers throughout his career. He always looked forward to creating and helping others with projects, spending time with his family and grandchildren. Al also enjoyed gun collecting, riding his Harleys, photography, fixing up classic cars, and spending time at his cottage with loved ones.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Marlene; children, Kym VandenElzen; Kirt VandenElzen; Kelli (Clarence) Crane; grandchildren, Makenzie and Evan VandenElzen; Aris and Adra Crane; brothers and sisters, Ruth (Leonard) Goeben; Raynond (Shirley) VandenElzen; Tom (Joan) VandenElzen; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry (Judy) Process, and is also further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Elmer and Ione Process.

Family and friends may call for a Celebration of Allen's Life at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home and Cremation Service, East-Town Location, 2379 E. Mason Street, on Tuesday, June 19, from 4 until 7 pm. Funeral service 7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Entombment at Shrine of the Good Shepherd. Online condolences are welcome at www.PfotenhauerFuneralHome.com In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his name at the funeral home.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Aurora Hospice staff and especially Denise.
