Amy Thor Obituary
Amy A. Thor, 57, Hobart, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. The world lost one of the sweetest, kindest, most loving persons that has ever walked this earth. If you just met her and started talking with her, you would think you have known her for your entire life and she was one of your best friends.
Amy was born on March 9, 1959, in Green Bay, daughter of Alex and Grace Bryfczynski. On July 21, 1979, she married the love of her life, Andrew Thor at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, in Ashwaubenon. Amy was employed at Fort Howard Paper Company for 27 years and for the past nine years worked as a Physical Therapist Aide for Bellin Health. She loved being with her family and friends, home decorating, cooking and traveling. Amy loved anything related to water, being on a beach, on a cruise, or at a resort - she truly was an island girl at heart.
Amy is survived by her husband of 37 years, Andrew Thor, Hobart; her parents, Alex and Grace Bryfczynski, Ashwaubenon; a sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Martin School, Howard; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Sheila Bryfczynski, Ellijay, GA; along with one niece, Erin Lucas; three nephews, Ben School, Sam Bryfczynski, Will Bryfczynski; brother-in-law, James (Ruth) Thor, Jonesboro, GA; sister-in-law, Karen (Dennis) Ryder, Cumming, GA; and other family members and friends.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, October 15, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Dr. The Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the church with Rev. Paul Demuth officiating. Entombment will be at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

I met Amy when I worked summers at Ft Howard as a college student, and reconnected with her when we both worked at Bellin. She was a joy and a light. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.
