I mainly knew Drew when he was a young child and a baby. His mom Wendy is my cousin and my mom would babysit Drew and l mainly remember him being one of the cutest babies you ever saw and how he was the one who would always hide vegetables from lunchtime in his baby cheeks. When he was about 3 or 4 my family and I moved out to Oregon so I didn't get to see him grow into the gentleman that I know he became.
I saw him again in 2014 when he, Max, Wendy and many other family members came out to Oregon for my wedding and I couldn't believe how grown up both he and Max were. Then I got to see him one more time when his mom married Kevin. I don't feel like I knew Drew very well, but seeing him walk his mother down the isle I couldn't help but feel so proud at what a gentleman he became.
The shock I felt when I heard the news can't compare and I can't even begin to understand just how deeply heartbroken Max, Wendy, and Kevin are. I can only hope they can feel the love and prayers my family and I are sending from Oregon. He will be very missed.

Wendy and Max, we are heartbroken over your loss. Drew was a great kid. We are in Italy now, so we lit a candle for Drew at the Cathedral in Florence. Know you are all in our hearts and prayers.

I am truly grateful to have had the ability to call Drew my boyfriend at one time, and especially for him to be such a close person to me. I will forever miss the late night drives, funny memories and every moment spent with Drew. Wendy, Kevin and Max, am beyond grateful for all of your willingness to share your home and stories with me. I pray that you all will get through this tragedy, as well as anyone who has gotten to know Drew.

Wendy, Max, and Kevin, oh how my heart aches for each of you. My family got to know Drew 2 summers ago via my niece. As a result we got to watch the Solar Eclipse together, ate a few meals, and he even got to play VR at our house. Every encounter with him was enjoyable because he was such a good kid. We all loved him. Whenever we went to Festival we'd all be looking for him, if we saw him we'd chat and catch up. I can't believe he's gone. I am so sorry for your loss. I will be praying for each of you whenever I think of you.
