Mrs. Moore, who was a loving and gracious lady, was born June 9, 1918, in Green Bay, to Mamie (LaFevre) and Joseph W. Rothe. She was blessed with wonderful friends and was always available as a sympathetic listener whenever family and friends needed her. In the 1970's, she and her husband opened the Calico Cat Antique Shop at 47"' and State Line in Kansas City. They traveled to New England frequently to visit daughter, Susie, absorbing the beauty of the area, eating lobster and searching for "treasures" to bring back to Kansas City to stock their very popular shop. She loved ballroom dancing, Big Band swing music, and especially the Glenn Miller band. She was once crowned "Queen of the Senior Prom". She greatly enjoyed special family gatherings and family dinners at the homes of her daughte,r Dede and grandson, Jeffrey and wife, Mary Grieb.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ivan; parents, Mamie and Joseph W. Rothe; siblings, Doris Rothe Eklund, Joseph A. (Sonny) Rothe with wife, Mary; and Ruthe Rothe; brother-in-law, Robert Eklund; niece Mary "Sissy" Eklund; and good friend/companion, Emery Schantz. She will be welcomed into Heaven by her five loving Boston Terriers, all named Pudgy, with much tail-wagging and face licking.

Survivors include daughters, Diane "Dede" Grieb and Susan "Susie" Moore; son-in-law, Tom Grieb, Sr; a caring and devoted niece, Nancy Eklund Wells; grandchildren, Tom Grieb, Jr. (Bobbi Jo), Jeff Grieb (Mary), Chris Grieb (Julie) and 11 great-grandchildren.

This amazing, caring woman will be greatly missed until we meet again. Kansas City Funeral Directors 913-262-6310

My sincere sympathy to Susie, Dede, and Noonie and family..know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I'll always remember the kind words Arletta had for her little sister Ruthie. Speaking with her was like having an angel around. Arletta was such a comfort to all of us. May she rest in peace in the arms of our Lord!
